Assignment: Buy a stranger a coke.

So Mr. Clarke says, "For our random weekend assignment I want you guys to buy a stranger a coke. Well, since we're at BYU, not necessarily a coke because then you would get arrested. [haha!] just find someone random and ask to buy a drink for them or maybe even lunch. you can use this as an excuse to take someone out on a date. however, it must be someone that you've never met before!"

I was laughing when he said this because i thought it was just so funny and random. I walked into the smith fieldhouse today found a guy watching volleyball practice and offered to buy him something from the vending machines. He was very hesitant and said no at first but as I insisted, he finally gave in and said he would love a Sprite. It was interesting.

Anyways, thats my story for today, not very interesting but I mean, what do you expect?!

The very BEST Winter Break... EVER!

Winter Break 2008-2009 was one of the best breaks I have had so far in my short life...
It started out with being attacked and tackled OVER the couch by Amanda (my older sister) who said she was just excited to see me. It ended with a fun-filled road trip back to the snow-filled Provo with 2 of my favorite people... Kahili and Tyler! :) Here are some of the events that made this break wonderful...

Week 1: California
~ I got to spend lots of time with family! I was able to go watch Daylene sing Christmas songs at school on my first day back. On Sunday, we went to church as a family for the first time in forever! Sunday night, we went on the TPD Santa Sleigh to hand out candy canes to anxious children and neighbors... that was eventful! Tuesday, we attended my Auntie June's graduation from the Police Academy and we were so proud of her! Thursday was Christmas Eve and we were able to spend time and catch up with my dad's side of the family... the Taualii's! Christmas Day was great because it was spent with the Marzorini's (mom's fam) and Santa had come the night before. Apples to Apples was an eventful game that we were all able to enjoy together.

Day After Christmas....
~You might think I'm crazy but I swear I'm not! My boyfriend, Kahili, got me a ticket to Hawaii to come visit him for a week as one of my Christmas presents. Yes, a trip to HAWAII! I was beyond excited. However, it was a Standby ticket and when he called me on Christmas, he told me that I needed to go to the airport early Friday morning and just try to get on ANY flight to the islands and then he would get me to O'ahu from wherever I landed. After seeing that the flights were ALL overbooked by at least 30 passengers, he and his dad  doubted that I would ever make it to the islands. I told him to be optimistic. I arrived at crazy LAX Friday morning and fought many rude people through the hectic check in and security lines. I arrived at the gate for the first flight to try (going to Lihui) and GOT ON!!! yes people, I got on the first flight... despite the odds!
!! haha. what can I say, I'm a lucky girl!

Week 2: Hawaii
~ I was able to spend an absolutely amazing week getting to know the Soon family (consisting of the Brede's, Haverley's, Fermentez's, and Kahalepuna's). Kahili has 3 older sisters who are all married. Kahoku and Kea have 5 kids (Kealaula, Pili, Kala, Lana, and K'a'ea). Kaiwa and Kuli have 4 kids (Kia, Kona, Kaena, and Poki). Noe and Poliku have 1, Manoa. Kahili also has 1 older brother Kaupena and a younger brother, Wai (whom I did not get to meet because doesn't get back from his mission until February). And of course, I was able to meet Kahili's parents, Francis and Karen and his Grandma. Yes, there are lots of names but I think I got them all down... haha. This family is amazing and I'm so glad I was able to meet them and spend time with all of them.
~ Our days in Hawaii consisted of: playing volleyball with Kahili's cousins (Casey, Kainoa, Koa, and J.P.), me learning how to surf (actually just getting shown up by Kealaula- Kahili's 10 year old newphew... sad day.), poping CRAZY fireworks on New Year's Eve, and visiting with MY family who lives nearby...
~Seeing and spending time with Uncle Keni (my dad's brother) and his family was awesome! I got to play with Lemao and Malia and build castles and dance floors and fly them around the room. whoohoo! they loved Kako (Uncle) Kahili :)
~Best of all, I got to spend time with Kahili everyday... STRESS and SCHOOL-FREE! :D

After all the fun, I'm back in Provo... freezing my butt off in the snow... back in school... coaching club volleyball... playing volleyball... and going to church! My life is very eventful and there are not enough hours in the day here....

The Creator vs The Editor

Do you ever sit in class and wonder, "Wow, what is this guy talking about?" All of a sudden, you tune in to what the professor is talking about and he is actually right! That happened to me just now. haha. MCOM 320 is going to be an interesting class....
I am the creator of this blog. I am also the editor. Who will be reading this stuff???
